Introvert Moms… Have you ever told one of these lies?

I don’t believe in lying.

But when I saw the ‘lie’ INFJs tell, I had to plead guilty.

When my daughters were young, listening didn’t require the same amount of emotional energy. Now that they’re all teens, the amount of listening needed is enormous.

And I love hearing what they have to say.

So, I’m learning to manage my energy levels so I can listen.

Without lying.

According to introvertdear.com, here are the lies Myers-Briggs Personality Types tell:

  1. ISFJ: “No, that stain doesn’t show at all…”
  2. ISFP: “It’s fine. It didn’t bother me.”
  3. ISTP: “I’ll have it to you by Monday.”
  4. ISTJ: “Who, me, lie? What’s wrong with you?”
  5. INFP: “Sure, I’ll do it your way.”
  6. INFJ: “Sure, I’m happy to listen… AGAIN.”
  7. INTP: “It’s everything or nothing.”
  8. INTJ: “I’ve got it all under control.”

Being an introverted parent is hard. It’s even harder when you don’t take the time to listen to your teens.

Introvert moms, how do you manage your energy levels, so you have time to listen when your tweens/teens are ready to talk?
